Over the four years of the game’s existence, the situation has changed dramatically: the widespread use of tenth self-propelled artillery of the tenth level, the widespread use of gold shells greatly reduced the value of armor. Unfortunately, some tank destroyers are capable of piercing the upper frontal part of Mouse with cumulative effects.

But this does not mean that all the machines in the branch have lost their relevance. The fifth and sixth levels are medium tanks Pz. IV H   and VK 30.01 P. In general, these are pretty passing cars without bright pluses and minuses. Playing them does not require any special skills, but it is not remembered. Once upon a time in Pz. IV H the gun was much more powerful (from a single-level tank destroyer), then it turned into a real imba with a land mine when they introduced the possibility of buying premium shells for silver ... But now, after several nerfs, this is a completely ordinary tank.

At the seventh level is already a heavy tank Tiger (P), which are also called "Pigre." And this machine, with proper use, can show outstanding results. The fact is that the thickness of the forehead of the hull is 200 mm, the setting of the tank with a rhombus allows you to tank against tanks and the eighth level. At the same time, a cannon with a conventional projectile pierces 203 mm, but one-time damage is only 240 units. But the accuracy (0.34) and the review (380 meters) are pleasing. All this is balanced by weak dynamics and large sizes, but the Tiger (P) is still a very comfortable car. He can also play the role of a sniper, and tank in close combat.

VK 45.02 A, who received the nickname "Alfatapok" among the players. This is due to the fact that the car with the rear location of the tower goes on, which makes it a little like slippers. VK 45.02 A itself does not possess any bright advantages. In general, it combines the features of medium and heavy tanks: the maximum speed is mediocre (38 km / h), but the specific power is quite high (almost 15 hp). It is difficult to call a reservation good (for example, in the forehead of a 120 mm case at a slight slope), but good dynamics often allows you to expose the tank to a shot at a favorable angle. Frankly small is the penetration of both a conventional projectile (200 mm) and a sub-caliber (244 mm). One-time damage is 320 units, this is the standard for this level and class.


At the ninth level is the same “Slipper”, that is VK 45.02 B. In patch 9.2, this car was very upset. Now the thickness of the forehead of the hull is 200 mm (this applies to both the upper and lower frontal parts), the thickness of the tower roof has been increased to 60 mm, where Slipper easily made its way. Paying for such a reservation has very poor dynamics. And the gun leaves much to be desired. It has good penetration rates (246 mm for a conventional projectile) and one-time damage (490 units), but its rate of fire is low (less than 4 rounds per minute), and a long reduction (2.9) leads to frequent misses in dynamic shootings.

About Mouse, which is on the tenth level, we have already said. On this tank and modern realities, you can play from the armor and poke a huge amount of damage. But, unfortunately, it turns out literally on several cards. On some Prokhorovka, the Mouse is an easy target. Its record margin of safety (as many as 3,000 units!) Will only delight opponents.



The second branch of heavy tanks starts from the fourth level. D.W. 2 is one of the few heavy tanks at this level. He has good armor, but you have to pay for it with a weak penetration weapon. In this he resembles the French B1. VK 30.01 H and VK 36.01 H are on the fifth and sixth levels. By the way, once they were medium tanks (both were on the sixth level), but the developers decided to change this. Unfortunately, when changing the class, the reservation remains the same. These tanks do not hold well in melee. But they perfectly show themselves in the role of “snipers”, because you can put on them the famous Konik gun (Waffe 0725), which has good penetration (157 mm for a conventional projectile and 221 mm for a sub-caliber), which is complemented by excellent accuracy (0.34) .

At the seventh level is the famous TIger I. This car   It is distinguished by its large size and weak armor (for example, only 100 mm in the forehead of the hull), but this is compensated by simply a magnificent gun. It is identical to what is installed on the Tiger (P), but its rate of fire is much higher. Damage per minute is as much as 2150 units, which even eighth-level vehicles can envy. The safety margin in the top configuration is 1,500 units, with many opponents you can just go for a bargain. Now the Tiger is one of the best heavy tanks of the seventh level, although it can be difficult for inexperienced players to realize high damage per minute.

At the eighth level is Royal tigerWhich is a pretty versatile heavy tank. A gun with a penetration of 225 mm with a conventional projectile (and 285 mm with a caliber) and good accuracy (0.34) allows you to successfully hit targets from any distance. The survey is 390 meters, which is 10 meters less than the maximum value for this level. There are several vulnerable areas in the reservation (lower frontal part, tower roof and observation devices), but with proper use of the terrain they can be hidden. But the upper frontal part has a thickness of 150 mm and is located at a good slope. If you put the tank in a rhombus, only a tenth level tank destroyer can break through it with great difficulty.

Tiger ii


E 75 is a logical continuation of the Royal Tiger and is located at the ninth level. This is one of the few "real" heavy tanks with good armor. The gun is identical to what is on VK 45.02 B. The good dynamics are also pleasing, which allows, for example, returning to the base if opponents began to capture it. Finally, it completes the E 100 branch, which can often be found in random battles. This heavy tank has several vulnerable areas in the frontal armor (a huge lower frontal part, the tower forehead), but if you put the right rhombus and turn the tower a little, it will be difficult to break through. Low penetration with a conventional projectile (only 235 mm) forces the permanent use of cumulative (they penetrate 334 mm already). But it is very pleasing high one-time damage (as much as 750 units). The safety margin is 2700 units, E 100 shows itself well in forcing directions.



Medium tanks


   Medium tanks are also represented by two branches. First we look at the one that leads to the E 50 M, because it appeared a long time ago. It begins with the sixth level, which is located VK 30.02 M, it opens with VK 30.01 H. VK 30.02 M is a good medium tank that can act actively on the first line and play the role of an “ambush sniper”. The top gun penetrates 150 mm with a conventional projectile, against tanks above the level, you can use sub-caliber with a penetration of 194 mm. The dynamics also make a favorable impression.

But about Panther, which is located at the seventh level, you can not say that. It drives frankly poorly for a medium tank, and this is compounded by its rather large size (the famous German "shed", which is characteristic of all tanks above level). The top gun, nicknamed the "fishing rod" for great length, penetrates as much as 198 mm, but the one-time damage is 135 units, but the accuracy is simply excellent (0.32). The Panther assumes a peculiar style of play: you must keep a respectful distance from the enemy in order to realize the advantage in accuracy. But playing the role of a classic tank destroyer is not good, because it takes a lot of one-time damage.

At the eighth level is Panther 2, which drives even worse, and the dimensions are about the same. The gun came from the Tiger of the seventh level. The upper frontal part has a thickness of 85 mm under a good slope, but this is not enough to poke shots of single-level tanks. Areas of the tower’s forehead that are not covered by the gun’s mask easily penetrate easily (other tanks of the branch also have this problem). Another problem is the location of the transmission behind the frontal frontal part, because of this the tank often burns when breaking through the forehead. Overall, Panther 2 is a pretty mediocre medium tank of its level.

But about   E 50   (ninth level) this cannot be said. One-time damage increased to 390 units, while the thickness of the upper frontal part is as much as 150 mm at a good slope, which allows you to tank well, this makes the E 50 look like a heavy tank. Unfortunately, the lower frontal part has a thickness of only 80 mm, and the tower’s forehead penetrates well. The E 50 is also distinguished by its large size, but this also has a positive side: the combination of large mass and high speed (up to 60 km / h) allows the enemy to remove a huge amount of safety margin by ramming. Unfortunately, this is not possible to do so very often: a competent opponent immediately shoots at the caterpillar.


At the tenth level is E 50 M, which is an improved version of the tank of the ninth level. Booking did not change at all, as did one-time damage, but the specific power and safety margin increased. E 50 M almost does not burn when breaking through the forehead, because the transmission is moved to the rear of the case. The gun remained the same, but reloading accelerated, accuracy and speed of mixing improved. Subcaliber are now the main projectile, cumulative are available as premium. E 50 M can not boast of high damage per minute, but this is offset by excellent accuracy.


The second branch appeared relatively recently. More precisely, this can be said about vehicles from the eighth to tenth level and some tanks a level lower. It makes no sense to consider cars from the second to fourth levels: they do not stand out for anything special, and they go through a few dozen fights. At the fifth level is located Pz.Kpfw. III / IV, which combines good dynamics with high one-time damage for its level (110 units). Review and booking can not be called outstanding, but still Pz.Kpfw. III / IV is a very comfortable machine in the game, which leaves behind itself mainly positive emotions.

The same can be said about VK 30.01 D, he is at the sixth level and is a logical continuation of his predecessor. One-time damage has grown to 135 units, the gun is identical to that installed on the VK 30.02 M. It shows itself well both in long-range shootings and in close combat. But at the seventh level is a rather controversial tank VK 30.02 D. His main problem is low penetration. For example, an ordinary shell of a top gun pierces only 132 mm! You can put a gun from its predecessor, but breaking through 150 mm is not enough for the seventh level. This should be compensated by good dynamics and good (especially for the medium tank) armor, but in modern realities it is the penetration weapon that is the main advantage.

Next comes Indien panzer   nicknamed "Turkey." The top gun pierces with a 212 mm conventional projectile, which is a good indicator for the eighth level, but you have to pay for it with mediocre dynamics and cardboard booking. The forehead of the hull has a good slope, but the thickness is only 90 mm, so turkey shells rarely hit. This tank easily makes its way directly into the gun’s mask, so it’s difficult to realize good vertical angles.

At the ninth and tenth level are Leopard PT A   and Leopard 1   respectively. A huge drawback of these machines is the complete lack of armor: they easily make their way even with six levels directly into the forehead of the tower, and a high-explosive projectile always causes full damage when hit. This is compensated by the magnificent dynamics, which some light tanks will envy, but on many maps it is of little use. Leopard of the tenth level differs from its predecessor in a slightly larger margin of safety, speed of mixing, etc. Penetration and one-time damage are identical. The problem with these two tanks is that they often have to portray tank destroyers as they shoot from behind the bushes, but they still expect active gameplay from medium tanks ...

Tank destroyers


   The German nation also has two tank destroyers. One of the cars is characterized by good frontal armor at high levels, these are real assault tank destroyers, the other branch’s vehicles are the implementation of the “crystal gun” concept, they are almost completely devoid of armor, but are capable of dealing just a huge amount of damage. We will start our review from the first branch, assault tank destroyers begin only from the eighth level, while low-level vehicles are quite classic ambulance tank destroyers.

It is worth noting the famous Hatzerwhich is on the fourth level. It has a good frontal reservation (60 mm at an angle), good dynamics and a low silhouette, which allow you to both successfully shoot from behind the bushes and tank if necessary on the first line. From the guns, both a penetrating “hole punch” and a “mine” are available. The latter once made Hetzer a real fight because of gold shaped-charge shells, but they were nerfed, so Hetzer became a balanced machine. It’s impossible to call it imba, but it can still show excellent results on it.

Next comes Stug iii gwhich can no longer boast such a good reservation. The front cabin is covered with 80 mm thick plates, but the large lower frontal part makes its way easily. But the Stug III G has a low silhouette, which means a good coefficient of stealth. The top cannon pierces 150 mm of armor with an ordinary projectile and inflicts 135 damage. Good dynamics allows you to act actively and quickly change position.

At the sixth level is Jagdpanzer ivabout which many conflicting reviews. Some praise this tank destroyer for its low silhouette, which allows it to go unnoticed for a long time. Others speak negatively about the top gun, which with a conventional projectile pierces only 132 mm, one-time damage is 220 units. Both sides are right: on Jagdpanzer IV you have to carefully choose a position so as to go unnoticed and shoot the enemy at the side, because many tanks will be very difficult to penetrate into the forehead.

At the seventh level is located Jagdpantherwhich also causes conflicting feelings. The main problem of this tank destroyer is that it combines the large size of the assault vehicles with the weak armor of the ambush type tank destroyer. Thus, Jagdpanther is easily detected by opponents and quickly destroyed. You can only hope for rare ricochets from the frontal armor, which is located at a good slope. You have to stay at maximum distance and look for double bushes. Two top guns are available to choose from, they have almost identical penetration (200 and 203 mm), but one-time damage is different (320 and 240 units).

At the eighth level, this branch has two cars at once: Jagdpanther ii   and Ferdinand. The first is a logical continuation of the seventh-level tank destroyer. The armor still does not hold a blow, but sometimes it pleases with ricochets. The gun has improved significantly: now it pierces with a conventional projectile 246 mm, and one-time damage is 490 units. Ferdinand possesses the same weapon (only the rate of fire is slightly lower), but the reservation is noticeably better: 200 mm in the forehead allow you to confidently tank single-level tanks if you put the car in a rhombus and hide the vulnerable lower frontal part. Ferdinand can sometimes even lead the attack, but you need to keep an eye on the flanks: this tank destroyer does not have a turret, and the dynamics make it very similar to a heavy tank.

At the ninth level is located Jagdtiger, he continues the concept of a heavy assault tank destroyer, which starts with Ferdinand in the branch: large size, terrible dynamics and good frontal reservation. The thickness of the frontal armor of the wheelhouse at Jagdtiger is 250 mm, the upper frontal part has a thickness of 150 and is located at a good slope. Unfortunately, the lower frontal part is very thin (only 80 mm) and makes its way through almost everyone even at a large angle. Due to its large size and slowness, Jagdtiger loves enemy artillery, because through a thin roof a high-explosive shell does full damage. But the gun of this tank destroyer is simply magnificent: it quickly reduces, penetrates with a conventional projectile 276 mm, and one-time damage is 560 units. This is not so much, but the damage per minute reaches almost 3000 units.



Finally, at the tenth level is Jagdpanzer e 100   (Tank destroyer based on the heavy tank E 100). This tank destroyer is also simply gigantic in size. Booking of boards has improved a little, but everything also leaves much to be desired. The lower frontal part is easily penetrated, the cumulative shells hit the Jagdpanzer E 100 right in the forehead without any problems. But all this is compensated by a very powerful weapon, which, per shot, on average deals 1050 damage, which is slightly more than the safety margin of the top medium tanks. Penetration is standard for the tenth level tank destroyer (299 mm for armor-piercing and 420 mm for sub-caliber). In general, this is a balanced car with bright pros and cons.

The second branch of the German tank destroyers is fundamentally different from the first. We can’t talk about booking here, even a car of the tenth level makes its way through some MS-1 directly into the wheelhouse. But first things first. At the third and fourth level are Marder ii   and Marder 38t respectively. The first was once a real imba for its level, but it has long been nerfed. However, both tank destroyers are distinguished by good guns and completely cardboard felling. We have to constantly stand behind the bushes, but this can be said in general about all the machines of the branch.

Pz.Sfl. Ivc   located at the fifth level, for the peculiar appearance of this tank destroyer received the affectionate nickname "Grobik". This car simply does not have armor, but there is good mobility and excellent guns. The top one pierces with an ordinary shell as much as 194 mm of armor (this is a real record), but you have to sacrifice for it bad horizontal angles. A rather long mix-up further exacerbates the problem. Many players pass the "Grobik" with the previous gun, which pierces with a conventional projectile only 132 mm, but this is enough at the fifth level.

Nashorn, which goes further, completely repeats this concept: the complete absence of armor, which is compensated by a powerful gun. It came from Jagdpanther, a seventh-level car from another branch. A penetration of 203 mm is enough even for tanks of the eighth level, and damage per minute is as much as 2250 units. Accuracy allows you to consistently hit the enemy and from a distance of 500 meters. Pz.Sfl. V, which is at seventh level, also suffers from extremely weak reservations. Dynamics has decreased dramatically, which is offset by a one-time damage of 490 units and penetration of 231 mm. There are simply no premium shells for this tank destroyer, they are not needed, because conventional armor-piercing is more than enough.

At the eighth level is Rhm.-Borsig Waffentragerwho received the affectionate nickname "Borschik." This machine has the best camouflage among tank destroyers at the eighth level. The stock gun is similar to the one on the eighth level tank destroyer from another branch. The top one has a giant one-time damage of 750 units. Penetration with a conventional projectile is low (only 215 mm), but the cumulative penetrates as much as 334 mm. “Borshchik” still has no armor, but it can boast of a tower with full rotation. This sometimes allows you to even shoot around the corner with the enemy. A significant advantage of the Borshchik is that it is not necessary to pump a top gun on it, it is better only in terms of the one-time damage parameter. Most players use stock.

Next comes Waffentrager auf Pz. IV, which also has a tower with full rotation. Dynamics has slightly improved, but the size and reservation have remained virtually unchanged. The gun is similar to what is on the Jagdtiger, although you can put a gun from the E 100. Waffentrager auf Pz. IV is the best tank destroyer   ambush type at the ninth level, and the tower sometimes allows you to enter skirmishes from behind shelters. But the lack of armor leads to the fact that after light you will be instantly destroyed. Sometimes they save only small sizes, from a long distance to get on this tank destroyer can be difficult.

Waffentrager auf Pz. IV



Finally, at the tenth level is the famous Waffentrager E 100: a tank destroyer with a loading drum and a wheelhouse rotating 360 degrees, which is made on the basis of the E 100 heavy tank. In general, this combination looks a bit strange: the hull holds a good shot, but everyone shoots completely a cardboard cabin that can be pierced by a tank of the first level. You can put both a gun from Jagdtiger, and from E 100. The drum of the first holds five shells with one-time damage of 560 units, the drum of the second - only four, but the one-time damage is 750 units. Thus, this German tank destroyer can do about 3,000 damage from a drum. Perhaps this is the tiniest car of the tenth level, which has been nerfed several times already. The huge size and cardboard cutting force to stay at the maximum distance from the enemy, but this is redeemed by the opportunity in 8 seconds to inflict about 3000 points of damage.

Light tanks


   The branch of light tanks cannot be called full-fledged: the eighth-level vehicle is not enough, the developers simply have not found a suitable tank so far. The car of the fourth level ( Luchs) is absolutely a checkpoint, tanks of the fifth ( VK 16.02 Leopard) and the sixth level ( VK 28.01) also can not be called outstanding. They differ in a decent mass for light tanks, which sometimes allows you to ram other fireflies, but, perhaps, this is where their merits end. Once Leopard (do not confuse it with a medium tank of the tenth level) was a real imba, but it was nerfed very much.

At the seventh level of the branch is the notorious Aufkl. Panther: Panther-based light tank. Perhaps this is the worst firefly at its level: the huge size means a low camouflage coefficient, but this is the most important characteristic for a light tank. A large mass can sometimes successfully ram even medium tanks, but it greatly reduces dynamics. Big and slow light tank, what could be worse? The famous Konik (Waffe 0725) is installed as the top gun, but at the seventh level, breaking through the 221 mm sub-caliber will not surprise anyone, and damage per minute leaves much to be desired. With Aufkl. Panther can open the "Turkey", but it is better to go along the branch of medium tanks.

   The ACS branch turned out to be rather controversial. Up to the seventh level, cars go with good accuracy, speed of information and reloading, which is not compensated by the greatest penetration and one-time damage. Some also have good horizontal angles, and mobility leaves a good impression. Eight and ninth self-propelled guns are radically different: huge one-time damage is balanced by long reload time, terrible accuracy and poor mobility. They are very similar to the Soviet self-propelled guns of the eighth and ninth level. And the German top-mounted self-propelled guns represents the “golden mean”: mobility is not the best, but it can no longer be called terrible, the gun is not very accurate, but this can be said about almost all artillery.


There are really a lot of German tanks in World of Tanks. A beginner can easily get confused in the intricacies of branches, between which there are many transitions. But this nation can offer the player really different vehicles: there are well-armored heavy tanks, and something in between heavy and medium vehicles, and tanks with a complete lack of armor.

Hello dear tankers. Today we will consider a newcomer to the German development branch as part of our game, a representative of a small family of heavy tanks of the 4th level and, in general, the Dursburshvagen. Meet Durchbruchswagen 2!

To gain access to Durchbruchswagen 2 (for convenience we will call it D2) you need to earn 5.020 experience on Pz.Kpfw. III Ausf. A. The cost of D2 is 85,000 silver. Since this tank is only the 4th level, it is assumed that we do not have a well-pumped crew for it. In this case, there are two options for landing the crew on this tank:

  • For the gold. 100% crew is always better than 50% or 75%, because it immediately reveals the top performance characteristics of any tank. The cost of such training will be 5 * 200 \u003d 1000 gold.
  • For silver. Most prefer not to spend money on training a gold crew for low-level equipment and this is quite logical. If you belong to such players, then the option of training for silver is available at your service. The cost of such training will be 20,000 * 5 \u003d 100,000 silver.

Given that at such levels, units have a good overview, then camouflage installation can be justified and you will be noticed a little less often. The cost of applying camouflage for all types of cards for 1 month will be 3 * 40,000 \u003d 120,000 credits.

The amount of experience is quite small, so pumping the car is quite easy and pleasant.

The installation of a top gun is a must. It has a much better penetration and PDM, which is undoubtedly more important than good alpha. Of the minuses, only poor accuracy can be noted, which does not allow you to play at long distances.

The top tower is no different in terms of performance characteristics from the stock one. It will only accelerate the reloading of the gun, add health and slightly increase the UVN. The rest is the same “fleece”.

What about the walkie-talkie? Walkie-talkie - she is. Top - excellent. Performs its task and it’s good.

Installing a top engine will give a small increase in dynamics and speed. But even with it, D2 is a classic TT in terms of speed performance.

The chassis will remove all weight restrictions and add a little to the speed of rotation of the body.

Roughly speaking, this is an ordinary tank through passage, in some places even "rather poor". Therefore, do not bother with tactical moments and just skip it.
